Learn the art of macrame by making your very own Macrame Plant Hanger during this introductory workshop with Elsie Goodwin of Reform Fibers.
In this workshop you will learn the basics of Macrame, a beautiful textile art that is made up of Knots. I will give you my secrets on where I purchase supplies from as well as a list of any supplies that I use in my studio. The idea is to learn, challenge yourself, share stories, and tie it all into a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
You will go home with a completed Macrame Plant Hanger that you can hang in your home. The knots you learn can be used as a foundation to create other macrame pieces to give, sell, or keep..... pssst, they make for great gifts.
The plant hanger will measure about 40 inches and will fit a pot 6-10 inches wide.

About Elsie
Elsie Goodwin is a fiber artist who specializes in Hand-Dyed Macrame. She has a background in the fashion industry where she worked as a buyer for 15 years. She was born in Texas, raised in Southern California, and has been fascinated with fashion - especially textiles - since she was a little girl.
She has worked with her hands for the last 15 years; first crochet, then knitting, then weaving, then macrame. She appreciates the therapeutic aspect of it all - she thinks it's so simple, sometimes monotonous, but also complex at the same time.
She loves empowering others, encouraging the fiber art community, teaching at macrame parties, team building events, and workshops, as well as connecting and talking all things craft. Her train of thought is: keep no secrets in crafting, share the knowledge, enjoy teaching others what you know and help them find their own voice.
