Designing something new.

I love the process of designing something new, especially in creative collaboration. The idea generation, the energy exchange, all of it! Working on this new web site design with the fantastic Cognoscenti Creative team has been incredible, and how grateful I am that they have embraced my love for the details. You will notice hand drawn frames around some of the images throughout the site, which I had the delight of creating myself. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I just wanted to draw frames all day! I’m sure Lauren had a little laugh when she kept seeing more and more  frame designs show up in her inbox.

What I personally love about these frames is that they were created from the tiny flower sketches I did on a solo hike the day after we lost our sweetest golden retriever Neve. That walk in the woods I took without my phone, noticing the little blooms along my path, and taking the time to observe, sketch and honor the magical details I was seeing felt healing to my aching heart. I love being reminded through these frames how healing our hands can be.
