Playing with prints.

I have hand printing on my mind. There's something so satisfying about making a one-of-a-kind print — the anticipation of how the marks will translate onto the paper, and the delight of revealing the design once a print is pulled.

This one was made on a Provisional Press, a wonderfully simple method: the paper is laid over a plate held in place by magnets, then a roller is pulled across the paper to transfer the image. I have Tom Parson — a legendary local printmaker — to thank for introducing me to this lovely press.
