Signatures.

I can still hear my dear friend Heidi Parkes’ voice: Always sign your work.

This is the stitched signature now living on the knitted blanket I made for my daughter for her freshman year of college. A marking of a moment. A memory tied to a place in time. I love imagining her wrapped up in it, feeling my hugs from afar.

There’s truly no better gift than something you made with your own hands. No words needed ~ just the purest kind of love woven in.
